Who We Are

Based in London, Wex Service Repair Centre provides specialist repair, maintenance, and technical support services for photographers, videographers, and imaging professionals. Originally established in 1988 by Mike Allen and Mick Edwards, the business built its reputation under the well-known Fixation brand, becoming one of the UK’s most respected independent camera and lens repair specialists.

In 2026, Fixation was rebranded as Wex Service Repair Centre, reflecting its closer integration with Wex Photo Video and its continued commitment to delivering industry-leading repair and technical support services.

Over the years, the business has expanded its capabilities and service offering, supporting both individual creatives and professional organisations with a comprehensive range of repair, maintenance, and technical solutions.

As part of Wex Photo Video, one of the UK’s leading photography and videography retailers, Wex Service Repair Centre combines decades of technical expertise with the resources and support of a nationwide organisation.

Our experienced team includes 11 highly skilled technicians and 5 customer service specialists, providing expert support across a wide range of imaging equipment. Our main facility in Vauxhall, London, houses a fully equipped workshop featuring test equipment that mirrors that used by leading manufacturers. This enables us to meet the highest industry standards and operate as an Authorised Service Centre for a number of premium imaging brands.

For added convenience, repair items can be dropped off at selected Wex stores across England, Scotland, and Northern Ireland, where they will be securely transferred to our London workshop for assessment and repair.

Service counter

We are a dedicated collection point for all orders placed on the Wex Photo Video website, as well as a convenient pickup and drop-off location for Wex Rental.

Expert Repairs

Workshop

Our workshop is a major operation with 10 technician’s workbenches, thousands of spare parts from motherboards to tiny screws, and a test room full of bespoke calibration and testing equipment supplied by the manufacturers to guarantee repair accuracy.

On each of my 3 visits to Fixation London I have been very impressed by their professionalism, helpfulness and friendliness. My first visit required a repair to my Canon 5D & 1-400 Lens. On completion the insurance company refused to cover. Without being asked Fixation contacted the company and the matter was resolved. My 2nd visit was a 1 to 1 training session for canon r.
