Lens Filter Removal: Terms
Filters become stuck because of impact damage, cross-threading or overtightening. To remove one, our technicians may need to break the glass and cut away the ring.
If the filter comes off intact and in usable condition, we will return it to you. Damaged filters will be safely disposed of, as broken glass shards can scratch your lens or cause injury.
Before removal, our technician will inspect the lens and record its condition. A stuck filter often hides damage to the front element, filter threads or lens barrel. This damage can only be seen once the filter is removed. Any damage found at that point comes from the original incident that caused the filter to stick.
By booking this service, you accept these terms. If we find damage, we will tell you and can provide a repair estimate.
